About Hyperledger

Hyperledger is an open source collaborative effort created to advance cross-industry blockchain technologies. It is a global collaboration, hosted by The Linux Foundation, including leaders in finance, banking, IoT, supply chain, manufacturing and technology. All Hyperledger software is open source, free to use under the Apache 2.0 license and openly governed by technical meritocracy.

Think of Hyperledger as a greenhouse for developing business blockchain projects from Hyperledger Labs (seed) to stable-code ready for production (fruition). All are invited to contribute to the greenhouse; collectively advancing industry goals of distributed ledger and smart contracts.
