Ethereum Engineering Group

Responsible disclosure of IT Vulnerabilities (Criminal liability) is the Ethereum Engineering Group’s part one of a two part series by Dr Adrian McCullagh.

This presentation is a follow on from the first presentation dealing with criminal liability. This presentation focuses of civil liability which means avoiding court action for damages that may arise due to a disclosure of an IT security vulnerability. Is their a duty of care arising when a researcher prematurely disclosure a vulnerability which results in hackers taking advantage of the disclosure prior to a full solution being released by the manufacturer.
This presentation will discuss the industry norms that all researchers should be aware of.
