Welcome to the Ethereum Engineering Group. Austin King, co-founder at Omni Network, will give this talk.
Ethereum’s rollup centric roadmap is no longer just a roadmap — it’s a reality. As rollup activity substantially exceeds the activity on the base network already today and is growing quickly, it is becoming existentially important that we leverage open standards to facilitate seamless interoperability across all rollups to prevent proprietary lock in and the degradation of Ethereum’s global network effects.
In this presentation we’ll be covering EIPs like EIP-7281 (xERC20) and others to talk about how we can implement better abstractions as an ecosystem to ensure that Ethereum preserves openness, neutrality and censorship resistance at the L2 layer.

✨ Ethereum Engineering Group is a meetup for software engineers, computer scientists, researchers, and technologists who want to understand the Ethereum platform and associated technologies.
Since March 2020, the Ethereum Engineering Group meetup has been run via Zoom, online. The timing during the day of the meetup depends on who is talking and what part of the world they live in.
