This month the Denver BitDevs event will be an open discussion. Just barely a week on the heels of the halving, there are already many important developments happening.
We will poll through the group for interest and spend 10-15 minutes on 3 different topics. We’ll break halfway through and resume for another 45 minutes for 3 more topics. We encourage participation though it is not required. The best discussions are fostered through asking open-ended questions. Here’s a handy list.
Here are just some of the things that have happened lately as a range of potential discussion topics:
- Bitcoin Privacy is under attack (1, 2)
- The Future of Bitcoin Testnet is uncertain
- Nonstandard bitcoin use-cases continue and cause Halving Fee Chaos
- An epic sat was sold for 33 BTC
- Block templating and fee maximization (See Ocean Halving Block Template Leaves 37 BTC Fees On The Table)
- Legislation around self-custody wallets and definition “money transmitter” (Coincenter)
- Various BIPs assigned (ex: OP_CAT)
- BitVM2 update
- Cashu USD ecash
