The DeFi Toronto Meetup is back with its next edition, bringing together builders, developers, and enthusiasts to explore the latest in decentralized finance. The evening kicks off with a DeFi news recap, followed by two featured talks.
Chinmay Patel of Basket.Farm will present “How to Create On-Chain Token Baskets on Basket.Farm”, showcasing how users can design and deploy token baskets directly on-chain. The second session introduces Vyer, a Pythonic language for the EVM, offering a fresh approach to smart contract development.
The night will close with community announcements and networking, providing attendees with opportunities to learn, share, and connect with Toronto’s DeFi community.

Chinmay Patel is a seasoned entrepreneur with a deep background in on-chain technology. He is in the crypto space since 2016. Currently, he is building Basket — it allows anyone to create a group of tokens. When others use your basket, you get paid. Previously, he has created an on-chain strategy for multiple Fortune 500 brands and successfully launched their projects.
