August 24, 2023 – BNB Chain, the community-driven, decentralized and world’s largest smart contract blockchain by daily active users, to mark its third anniversary with a global campaign.
The 3 Year Anniversary celebrations aims to recognize and amplify the blockchain industry’s growth and resilience and BNB Chain calls on the community to join in celebrating across the globe.
To make the celebrations truly global, BNB Chain will be engaging with the community through an exciting series of online experiences. Running from August 24 through September 2, users will get to take part in exciting activities alongside industry leaders, KOLs and experts as they look back at the incredible journey of Web3 over the past three years and explore the possibilities that the future holds.
Through interactive virtual sessions, live discussions, and thought-provoking presentations, the 3 Year Anniversary will foster a dynamic atmosphere that promotes community building where users can expect to be surrounded by inspiring ideas, advancements, and the transformative impact of blockchain technology.
The Web3 community and beyond are invited to join the celebrations with the launch of BNB Chain’s Web3 video game, BNB Chain Awards, social media quizzes, and a limited edition NFT drop. The theme throughout will pay thanks to, and highlight the community, which has been instrumental in the development of the Web3 industry.
Ecosystem Catalyst Award
BNB Chain has also introduced the annual online Ecosystem Catalyst Awards – voted for by the community – to recognize the top projects in its ecosystem. There will be 20 nominees for each award with the top 5 will be presented with an award.
The categories include:
- The Innovation Excellence Award, to celebrate pioneers who dare to explore uncharted territories with groundbreaking ideas and cutting-edge applications of AI, opBNB, and Greenfield technologies
- Decentralized Finance (DeFi) Award
- Gaming, NFT & the Metaverse Award
- Infrastructure Award
The community nomination period started on August 15 and ran until August 23. Shortlisting will take place from August 24-28 with candidacy announcements on August 30. The on-chain community voting session will span across one week from August 31 – September 6 on Dappbay and winners will be announced on September 7.

As the third anniversary is dedicated to the community, BNB Chain is launching an NFT drop so that participants of the on-chain voting campaign can own a piece of the 3 Year celebration. Users that vote at least 33 times on Dappbay will qualify to mint the NFT. They will also get the opportunity to win exclusive rewards from projects. Players who finish the BNB Chain game, created by Ethlas Studio, will also qualify for the NFT.
To add to the excitement, BNB Chain will be running a series of quizzes on social media to spread awareness of Web3 and bust Crypto myths. Users can participate by completing the tasks and showcase their participation by using the hashtag #BNBChain3YA and tagging three friends along with a short note of what excites them the most about Web3. There will be bonus tasks with the most creative entries winning a prize pool of $1000 and BNB Chain merchandise.
