Bitcoin Grove Miami’s Understanding Bitcoin Source event is a Socratic style seminar where we’ll dive into different aspects of the Bitcoin protocol and it’s relevant source code.
Bitcoin Core will be used as our reference; we’ll build and run it together to gain a better understanding of its inner workings. The examination of other implementations, such as btcd and the unmaintained bitcore, will also serve as study material.
For this seminar we’ll be delving into something a bit different. Instead of discussing the current consensus rules and it’s associated code, we’ll be diving into implementations of leading covenant proposals like OP_CTV, OP_TXHASH, OP_CHECKSIGFROMSTACK, and OP_VAULT on the Bitcoin Inquisition signet, the Elements codebase that powers liquid, the open Bitcoin Core PR, and the closed Inquisition PR respectively.
