This week, the Atlanta Blockchain Center is introducing DWeb, an organization built to reconnect us with the original vision of the internet — open, private, reliable, secure, and owned by the people who build and use it.
Since 2016, DWeb has served as a bridge across diverse communities, helping creators, technologists, founders, and thinkers exchange the ideas and principles needed to push the decentralized web forward.
We’ll walk through the origins of the decentralized web dating back to the early Internet Archive movement, how DWeb connects the people, projects, and protocols shaping this ecosystem, and why their work matters for builders right here in Atlanta. This is our first deep-dive introduction to the organization, and a chance for our community to understand how DWeb supports the future we’re all building toward.
